Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) Education for public school students- immediately after Sunday Mass until
11:30 AM - Kindergarten thru 8th Grade – starting the third Sunday of September and ending the third Sunday of May.

High School Students meet together after Mass on Sundays with structured lessons on Faith and Prayer, performance of Works of Mercy with social time beginning in September and ending in May.

Bible Study for adults September to December and during Lent.

RCIA – September to May – Monday 7 PM to 9 PM. at Assumption BVM, in Lebanon (866-6017, Mrs. Tina Boyer)
Parish Mission Statement


We, the parishioners of Mary, Gate of Heaven Church, in the Diocese of Harrisburg, are called to KNOW, LOVE and SERVE GOD in this life and be happy with Him in Heaven; so we seek God through the life, death, resurrection of Jesus Christ in the love of the Holy Spirit. We are committed to live and serve all people as our brothers and sisters in Christ through the beliefs and practices of the Gospel and the teachings of the Catholic Church. We will accomplish this commitment in our daily lives and through evangelization in our worship and the sharing of the Good News of the Gospel. As stewards of the blessings and gifts God has bestowed upon us, we will use our time, talents and treasure to glorify God and serve one another.
MINISTRIES - ORGANIZATIONS - COMMITTEES

Adult Faith Formation - Seasonal seminars on such topic as: Liturgy, Morality, Scripture, Spirituality, and Parish Life open to all parishioners.

Communications - Disseminating parish information through the Bulletin, Web Site and Calendar.

Council of Catholic Women (CCW) –meetings on the  first Tuesday of the month from September to June

Festival Committee - The major fundraising and parish social of the year, offering hospitality to neighbors far and wide through food, games, entertainment and fellowship.

Finance Committee - Advises the Pastor on the temporalities of the Parish: Finances, Buildings & Grounds, and Personnel.  In the spirit of accountability the Council gives periodic reports to the parish at large.

Knights of Columbus (K of C) – meetings on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month

Liturgical Ministry - Called to serve in the various ministries needed for the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist, the source of Summit of our Parish Life.  This inclues, Altar Servers, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, First Saturday Adoration, Lectors, Music Ministry (musicians, cantors, choir) and Ushers.


Parents’ Committee –Coordinates the spiritual and social needs of the children and young adults of the parish.  Meets monthly – date and time to be announced.

Pastoral Council -  Advises the Pastor on the programmatic aspects of the Parish, evaluating existing programs and recommending new programs based on the needs of the Parishioners.  

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults - RCIA - Sessions for those interested in learning more about the Catholic Church with possibility of entering into full union with the Church.  September to May - Mondays 7 PM to 9 PM.  Call Father Bill for more information -

Teen Ministry - *NEW* -Creating an atmosphere where Junior and Senior High School Students can grow in the Church Community through:  social programs, educational formation, service projects and spiritual renewal.

Youth Religious Education - CCD -
